Fated
Synopsis
Syla and Fatlinda (Fatlinda=LuckyBorn) are united in matrimony. But that is the only thing they have in common. Neither of them chose this fate, or were allowed to weigh on it. Besides no education, Syla is stubborn too, he refuses to accept help from anyone because he does not want people to ask for favors back. This is why a journey that would take 30 minutes by car for Fatlinda to see her parents, Syla decides not to ask for help and walk to the city. A walk that will last for more than 4 hours through hills and forests!
But this journey will prove to be an eye opener.
Director’s Bio
As filmmakers we strive to bring to the audience the stories that move us, stories that provoke an emotional reaction. But I had made it my mission ever since I survived the Kosovo War, that I am going to try to tell stories that will raise awareness about what surrounds us. Stories that don’t end when the movie ends!
It is our responsibility as filmmakers to make a difference, to make viewers of our stories want to participate in the debate our storytelling triggers. I strive to engage the audience into taking action in the issues that matter to me and to the society we live in. Together we can make a difference.
Fated is a story about people who have no choice.
We all know people like that and we can always do something to help make a difference. If nothing else, have some sympathy for their pain!
